FUNDRAISING GOAL |
A group of Dickinson resident's have come together to form the "Western Edge Pool Committee" to coordinate a fund drive for a future outdoor pool.
WHERE? The original plans of the West River Community Center included an outdoor pool as a desired component to an already world class facility. The existing site allows for use of ample parking and utility infrastructure that will defray construction and operating costs.
HOW? A community effort. The total cost of the project is expected to be $3 million. The Western Edge Pool Committee fundraising efforts will include personal and family contributions in conjunction with business contributions.
WHO? The Western Edge Pool Committee will coordinate the fund drive for the outdoor pool. Dickinson Parks and Recreation will operate and maintain the facility when opened.
Possible Pool Features:
Slides (large & small), lazy river, zero depth beach style entry, spray and play features, rock climbing wall, obstacle course, swimming lessons, water basketball, modern concessions, changing areas and family changing rooms, party rental area, shade structures throughout, easy access into pool, something for ALL ages and swimming abilities.
Individual Levels of Giving:
- $250-$999 - acknowledgement on a goldfish medallion
- $1,000 and above - acknowledgement on a wall plaque
Corporate Levels of Giving:
- $5,000-$9,999
- $10,000-$24,999
- $25,000-$49,999
- $50,000-$99,999
- $100,000 and above
