Dickinson Recreation Center is a Dickinson Parks & Recreation owned and operated facility located adjacent to the West River Community Center.

Public Skate Season

Public Skate begins Tuesday, October 13, 2009. Schedule will be as follows:

Tuesdays & Fridays - 7:00-9:00 pm
(Tuesday evenings through November 24th only)
Saturdays & Sundays - 2:00-4:00 pm
Sundays - 6:00-8:00 pm

**Open Skate will also be open from 2:00-4:00 pm on days that both Dickinson Public and Parochial Schools are on off (unless specified below).

LAST DAY FOR ICE IS SUNDAY, MARCH 14, 2010.

PUBLIC SKATE CANCELLATIONS: Public Skate may be cancelled due to hockey games or tournaments. Dates that are cancelled will be listed here:

Facility Amenities

The facility consists of a large arena which measures 216 ft. x 137 ft. with a seating capacity of 1,000. This arena is used as an indoor ice arena (October-March) and also hosts the Dickinson Hockey Club. During the off-season the arena is used to host special events such as trade shows, sport shows, circuses, and more.

The facility also consists of a large classroom area that may be used for rentals.

Rental of Facility

Groups interested in renting the Rec Center for picnics or other events such as weddings, meetings, educational seminars, conventions, shows, etc. can reserve the facility by contacting Dickinson Parks and Recreation at 456-2074.

We also take reservations for skating parties during the indoor skating season. Skating parties are welcome during public skate hours. Individuals wishing to have a skating party during public skate may reserve a table in the upstairs concessions area. A cake is allowed, but other snacks and drinks must be purchased from concessions available.
