Individuals will be responsible for performing daily routines and enforcing policies/procedures to assist with the operation of the Dickinson Recreation Center. Other job duties include the responsibility of managing activities, ice maintenance, building supervision, daily fee collection, opening/closing duties, and heating equipment. Individuals will also be required to make the facility inviting, move throughout the facility to check on cleanliness, security, and handle customer concerns and complaints in an efficient and professional manner. Season runs: October – March; Monday – Sunday. |

Individuals will be responsible for the general supervision and cleanliness of the facility. Other job tasks include the responsibility for the operation of the fitness desks, constantly moving throughout the building, having a good understanding of equipment use, communicating with supervisors and patrons, checking the gyms, locker rooms, bathrooms, etc., assisting climbing wall attendants, and developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with staff and patrons. Individuals will be assigned to instruct youth participants Grades 3-6 in sportsmanship along with the fundamentals, rules, and skills of flag football. Individuals must have the ability to communicate well with supervisors, youth, and parents as well as the capability to have extensive contact and interaction with youth as well as adults. Individuals will teach youth participants ages 5-10 the fundamentals of tennis and how to play the game. Instruction focuses on instruction, fun, and social adjustment specific to skills and ability. Lessons run periodically throughout the year. |
