Park Shelter Reservations
Groups planning picnics can reserve Lions Park (at Patterson Lake), Eagles Park, Jaycee Park, Turtle Park, Rocky Butte, Gress Softball Complex, old Archery Range (at Patterson Lake)or All Seasons Park by calling the Parks and Recreation Office at 456-2074.
A non-refundable fee of $25.00 per shelter is required for all shelters except Eagles Park & Lions Park, which require a non-refundable fee of $30.00 per shelter.
Seven days prior to the picnic you must sign a permit for use of the picnic shelters and if needed, an alcohol permit. This may be done during regular office hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Picnic bags (containing a volleyball, football, soccer ball, play ball, softball bat, 2 softballs and 2 frisbees) are available for a fee of $5.00 upon request.Click here for pictures of our shelters.
Trails
Enjoy a walk on the trails at Rocky Butte Park (3/4 mile loop), Eagles Park,
Gress Complex or the Dickinson Recreation Center (3/4 mile loop).
Crooked Crane Trail - This 17-mile loop around Patterson Lake was developed and maintained through the cooperative efforts of Dickinson Parks and Recreation and the Badlanders Bicycle Club. Patterson
Lake
Located 3 miles west and 1 mile south of Dickinson on old Highway 10 (take
exit 59 off I-94). Patterson Lake Recreation Area consists of 26 miles of
shoreline. 1,438 acres of land and 819 acres of water and is managed by Dickinson
Parks and Recreation.

The center can provide you with general information, camping fees and entrance fees.
The Information Center is open from 11:00-7:00 p.m. daily (Memorial Day - Labor Day)
The Patterson Lake Park Hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
